Police Advisory Board Applicants
Qualifications:
- Willingness to submit to complete background check by the Belle Isle Police Department to include social media accounts.
- Must have no felony convictions or misdemeanor convictions involving moral turpitude.
- Commitment to maintaining the confidentiality of all police issues.
- Willingness to participate in ethics training.
- Commitment to attend monthly training sessions to include lectures, review of materials, attend a citizens’ academy and participate in ride-alongs.
- Commitment to attend regular meetings as set by the Committee.
- Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and maintain relationships with Committee members, citizens, elected officials.
Interested residents should complete the attached application along with a Letter of Interest describing their work experience, education, community involvement, the reason for interest in serving on the Committee, and the level of commitment to serving on the Police Advisory Committee. Additionally, applicants should indicate a preferred term of appointment, one, two, or three years.
