CALL FOR MEMBERS- Planning & Zoning Board District 1 and District 2
The Mayor and Council of the City of Belle Isle are accepting applications for the vacated P&Z District 1 and District 2 seats. The appointed applicant will serve immediately after being appointed and for three years. Application and information about the P&Z Vacancy are available on the City’s homepage at www.belleislefl.gov or City Hall. City code: Chapter 22 - Planning
Candidates shall have resided in a bonafide residence in the City and the city district to represent at least one (1) year; they shall be registered voters in Orange County with proof from the Orange County Supervisor of Elections.
The Board acts in an advisory capacity to the City Council and establishes principles and policies for guiding action in the area's development. The planning and zoning board shall have the authority to render decisions as to special exceptions and variances and to take all other actions in accordance with the provisions of this Land Development Code. The Board consists of seven appointed members who serve three-year terms without compensation. The Board holds regular public meetings at city hall on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m.

The City Clerk will contact applicants to schedule Mayor and City Council interviews.
